A Level, Level 3 and Level 4 results

ESA Students have produced some astounding outcomes.  In a year when A Level results have fallen nationally following a return to pre-pandemic grade boundaries, specialist creative, technical and applied qualifications at ESA have been stellar.  

  • 78% of students achieved A* to C (or equivalent)

  • 48% of students achieved A* to B (or equivalent)

  • 30% of students achieved A* to A (or equivalent)

As the creative academy specialising in the trades, crafts and technical disciplines for film, TV and theatre, ESA is particularly delighted by some amazing outcomes in visual arts, production technology, hair, makeup and special effects, performing arts and creative media production.

ESA ScreenCraft offers creative industry training to 18 and 19 year olds.  Both the ScreenSkills accredited trainees and our Level 4 diploma students had a simply brilliant year.  39 students completed the ScreenSkills traineeship and destinations so far include Angel Costumes, GhostBusters, Helix 3D, Eastenders for BBC, Panavision and The Crown for Netflix.  100% of level 4 diploma students passed with 38% achieving Distinction and 69% achieving Distinction to Merit.  

ESA has a commitment to creating opportunities for students currently under represented in the creative sector and so we are delighted that 68% of students from disadvantaged backgrounds achieved A* to C or equivalent across all subjects and 100% A* to B or equivalent in our creative industry specialist subjects.
